Arens was also 3-1 in tournament action...at 184, Nate Whiting was an unseeded surprise who gained fourth place honors with a win over UNC's Ryan Guillanme. At the tournament, Whiting was 2-2...in play at 197, Luke Wren charted a second place finish losing to #1 Chad Wallace of UNO in the finals (4-2 in OT). To reach the finals, Wren gained a win over Dustin Wagner of SDSU and NDSU's Bryan Kraemer...at heavyweight, Dustin was 3-2 and nabbed fourth place with a gutty 10-4 win over Lance Tolstedt of UNO. In second round action, Darveaux dropped a tough 8-3 decision to eventual champ Jon Madsen of SDSU after being hobbled by a late round injury. He battled back through the pain in the wrestlebacks to gain two wins in order to clinch a return trip to the NCAAs.
