The University of Minnesota Men's Athletics Department has announced that season and single-match wrestling tickets for the upcoming 2001-02 season will go on sale Monday, Oct. 1, 2001. The sale includes tickets for the meet versus archrival Iowa on Friday, Feb. 1, at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
The cost of public season tickets for the eight-meet schedule will be $83 and $103. The $83 season ticket package includes a lower level seat for the meet with Iowa at Target Center. The $103 season ticket package includes a mat-side seat for the Iowa meet. University of Minnesota students may purchase season tickets at the reduced rate of $30 per seat (limit 2).
The cost of single-match tickets for meets held on campus is $9 per seat for adults and $5 per seat for students. The cost of single-match tickets for the Iowa meet at Target Center is $20 for lower level seats and $15 for upper level seats. Pending the season ticket holder's response, there may also be a limited number of $40 mat-side seats for the Iowa match available. University of Minnesota students may purchase up to two single-match tickets for the Iowa meet at the discount price of $15 per lower level seat or $10 per upper level seat.
Fans may call (612) 624-8080 or 1-800-UGOPHER to purchase season tickets and to purchase single-match tickets for the seven meets held on-campus. Accepted payment methods over the phone are Visa, MasterCard, Novus and American Express credit cards. Fans may also utilize the University of Minnesota Athletics Website, www.gophersports.com, to purchase tickets and for ticket information on all Golden Gopher sports.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 8, single-match tickets for the meet with Iowa at Target Center on will go on sale through TicketMaster. Fans may call (651) 989-5151 or utilize their website at www.TicketMaster.com.
