Gophers to face Hawkeyes and Badgers

The third-ranked Golden Gophers (15-4, 5-0 Big Ten) head to conference archrivals Iowa and Wisconsin Friday and Sunday in UM's final full weekend of Big Ten competiton. Minnesota battles No. 4 Iowa on Friday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m., in Iowa City in the renewal of the Border Brawl. The Maroon and Gold then travels to Madison to face the No. 25 Badgers at 1 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 16. Wisconsin hosts No. 15 Purdue on Friday.
Minnesota is coming off another weekend sweep of Big Ten competition. The Golden Gophers posted wins at home against No. 7 Michigan (22-12) and Northwestern (41-3) to stay perfect in league action at 5-0. The Golden Gophers have not lost a Big Ten meet since Feb. 20, 2000, when Iowa downed UM 20-13 at Williams Arena. Minnesota has not dropped a conference meet on the road since Feb. 6, 1998 at Penn State (21-13).
