SJU freshman Fiecke, Winsted, competed at 197-pounds at the NCAA Championships on Friday and Saturday, March 7-8, at Ohio Northern in Ada, Ohio. Fiecke went 1-2 at the meet. Fiecke won his first match over Ben Locke of Cortland in a 6-5 decision. In the championship second round, Fiecke then wrestled number two seed Brent Meyers from Upper Iowa and lost in a 11-2 major decision. In the consolation third round, Fiecke lost to number seven seed Adam Kolo from Wis.-Eau Claire in a 7-1 decision. Fiecke ended the season with a 24-16 overall record.
