Minnesota Wrestling celebrates 2002-03 season at awards
banquet

The 2003 Big Ten Champion and NCAA Runner-up University of
Minnesota wrestling team held its annual awards banquet at the Four
Points Sheraton in Minneapolis, Minn., Sunday night to honor the
athletes that led the Golden Gophers to their third consecutive
conference title and seventh straight top-three NCAA finish.
Seniors Jared Lawrence and Luke Becker ended their careers as
four-time All-Americans and were named the Most Outstanding and Most
Dedicated Wrestlers. Fellow senior Ryan Lewis earned the Most
Valuable Wrestler for the 2002-03 season. 2003 NCAA Champion Damion
Hahn was awarded the Fraser Dean Most Couageous Award and was named
Most Exciting Wrestler.
