Minnesota Wrestling to hold Fall Coaches Clinic

The University of Minnesota wrestling program has announced the dates and details for the 2002 Fall Coaches' Clinic and Workshop. This popular program will take place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-19, at the Bierman Field Athletic Building on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Two official practices of the two-time defending NCAA champion Golden Gophers will take place on both days of the clinic.

Open to college, high school and club coaches, the clinic and workshop features Golden Gopher coaches and former student-athletes. The clinic and workshop will cover topics such as mental toughness training, sports psychology, wrestling techniques, strength and conditioning, diet and nutrition, and much more. The clinic will include workshops taught by Minnesota Head Coach J Robinson, Head Assistant Coach Marty Morgan, Assistant Coaches Mark Schwab and Joe Russell, and former Golden Gopher wrestlers Tim Hartung, Brett Lawrence, Brandon Eggum, Chad Erikson and Owen Elzen.

All coaches in attendance will receive USA Wrestling Copper Coaches Certification and a USA Wrestling Coaches membership for the 2002-03 season.
