Dustin Darveaux named NCC Wrestler of the Week

Dustin Darveaux of St. Cloud State has been named the NCC Wrestler of the Week by the conference office.

Darveaux, a senior heavyweight from Pipestone, Minn., finished third at the Kaufman Open in Omaha, Neb. He started off the tournament by defeating Mike Christian of Oklahoma State 5-3 and Jon Madsen of Mary 6-2. In the semifinals he dropped a narrow decision to Kellen Fluckiger of Arizona State 5-4 before rebounding to defeat Brad Steele of Wyoming 5-2. Madsen is ranked #3 in the NAIA ranks while Fluckiger is #7 and Steele is #19 in NCAA Division I competition.
