Gophers head to Vegas

The third-ranked Golden Gophers (2-1) head to the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Dec. 6-7, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Competition is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. on each day with the championship finals and consolation finals held simultaneously on Saturday, at 5 p.m. About 50 teams will be participating from every division (I, II, III & NAIA). From the Big Ten, No. 3 Minnesota, No. 5 Ohio State, No. 6 Michigan, No. 9 Illinois, No. 14 Purdue and No. 15 Wisconsin are scheduled to compete. Other ranked teams scheduled to participate are No. 8 Nebraska, No. 10 Arizona State, No. 11 West Virginia, No. 12 Missouri, No. 22 Boise State, and No. 24 Air Force.

Several Golden Gophers will also be competing at the UNI Open on Saturday, Dec. 7, in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
