#8 South Dakota State gains 25-15 win over Huskies

Brookings, S.D. -- The St. Cloud State University wrestling team (1-11) suffered a tough 25-15 loss at #8 South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D. on Feb. 14.

SCSU gained wins in the dual at 174-pounds, heavyweight, 133-pounds and 141-pounds. #8 Jon Duncombe got SCSU on the board first with a big 4-2 upset over SDSU's Bryan Cowdin, the nation's #5 ranked wrestler at 174-pounds. #4 Dustin Darveaux collected a forfeit win at heavyweight, and Derek Miller posted a solid 8-5 win over Kris Dozark at 133-pounds. To complete the match, John Dirksen gained a 9-5 win over Jacob Schuring at 141-pounds. The Huskies will continue their season on Feb. 15, with a match at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.
