The SJU wrestling team went 2-0 at the Wis.-Eau Claire Quadrangular on Saturday, Feb. 14, in Eau Claire, Wis. The Johnnies defeated Wis.-Eau Claire 38-8 and fourth nationally ranked Wis.-Stevens Point 20-18.

Sophomore David Sadder, Shoreview, at 149 pounds and freshman Jake Malone, New York Mills, at 157 pounds won their matches by major decision in the Wis.-Stevens Point match. Malone is now 29-12 this season and needs one more win to tie the SJU record for single-season wins by a freshman.

Sophomore Dan Willaert, North Mankato, went 2-0 on the day at 184 pounds to improve to 31-8 on the season.

SJU is 12-4 in dual matches this season. SJU will compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Concordia in Mequon, Wis.
