Vikings host Augsburg, travel to Northern State

THIS WEEK: The No. 2 Augustana College wrestling team is back in action on Tuesday, January 11, when the Vikings put their 3-0 dual record on the line against Augsburg College. Augsburg is 6-0 in duals this season and is ranked No. 1 in the NCAA Division III national rankings. The dual is set for 7 p.m. at the Elmen Center. Then on Friday, the Vikings travel to Aberdeen, S.D., to face Northern State in an 8 p.m. dual at Aberdeen Central High School.
UP NEXT: Augustana heads to Cleveland, Ohio, to take part in the prestigious NWCA Cliff Keen National Duals. The Vikings will be part of a 16-team Division II field that will feature many of the top teams in the nation.
LAST WEEK: Augustana opened North Central Conference action on a strong note by downing St. Cloud State 50-0. Bolstered by 5 pins and a forfeit, the Vikings claimed all 10 matches. Registering pins were Cris Bietz (Hwt.), Chris Trampe (133), Andre Vander Velde (141), Dusty Wilking (174) and Tom Meester (184).
