Vikings to battle nation's best at Las Vegas Invitational

THIS WEEK: The No. 2 Augustana College wrestling team will see some of the nation's top wrestlers and teams this weekend as the Vikings travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the 23rd Annunal Cliff Keen Las Vegas Collegiate Wrestling Invitational. The meet will be held Friday, December 3, and Saturday, December 4, at the Cashman Center.
A total of 46 teams will compete in the invitational, considered one of the top tournaments in the nation. The field will consist mostly of NCAA Division I schools, with some elite NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA teams rounding out the field. Among the teams competing will be Nebraska, Michigan, Arizona State, Ohio State, Air Force and Missouri. Some of the other Division II teams in the field are No. 16 Western State (Colo.), No. 16 Adams State (Colo.) and No. 10 San Francisco State.
Action begins at 9 a.m. (MST) on Friday, with the quarterfinals slated to start at 7 p.m. On Saturday, action begins at 8 a.m., with the championship and third-place matches scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
