The SJU wrestling team competed at the St. Cloud State Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 11, and finished eighth out of 14 teams. The Johnnies had 49.5 team points, compared to 145.0 for team champion Augsburg.

Individually, SJU had a third place finish, three fifth place finishes and a sixth place finish. Junior Jeff Snegosky (New Hope, Minn./Totino-Grace) finished third at 165 pounds, while junior Jaime Campean (El Paso, Texas) at 133 pounds, senior Nathan Lefebvre (Elk River, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) at 141 pounds and junior Dan Willaert (North Mankato, Minn./Mankato Loyola) at 184 pounds all finished in fifth place. Sophomore Jake Ziegler (Darwin, Minn./Litchfield) took sixth place at 125 pounds.

SJU will travel to the Citrus Duals on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 29 and 30, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
