No. 11 Augie wrestlers head to
National Duals this weekend

THIS WEEK: The 11th-ranked Augustana
College wrestling team will be in Cedar Falls, Iowa, this weekend
competing in the prestigious NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals. A total of
16 of the top 18 Division II teams in the nation will participate in
the 2-day tournament. Action begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday and concludes
with the finals at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Augustana will open the tournament against No. 1 Central Oklahoma. The
dual begins at 9 a.m. Depending on the outcome of the dual, the Vikings
will face either West Liberty State or Ashland at 1 p.m.

Augustana vs. #1 Central Oklahoma, 9 a.m.
West Liberty State vs. #8 Ashland, 9 a.m.
#5 Pitt-Johnstown vs. Wisconsin-Parkside, 9 am.
Findlay vs. #4 Nebraska-Omaha, 9 a.m.
#3 Minnesota State-Mankato vs. Chadron State, 11 a.m.
Shippensburg vs. #6 Fort Hays State, 11 a.m.
#7 Western State vs. Mercyhurst, 11 a.m.
Minnesota State-Moorhead vs. #2 Nebraska-Kearney, 11 a.m.

VIKINGS AT THE NATIONAL DUALS: Augustana
has fared well the past two seasons at the National Duals. Last year,
the Vikings went 4-1 at the Duals and finished fifth. Augustana lost to
eventual champion Nebraska-Omaha in the quarterfinals before running
its way through the consolation bracket. In 2005, Augustana lost in the
finals to Nebraska-Omaha. It was Augustana’s best finish ever at the
National Duals.
