HUSKIES HOST TWO AT HOME TO FINISH REGULAR SEASON
The St. Cloud State wrestling team (3-6 overall, 0-2 NCC) will end their regular season this week as they host two duals. On Thursday, February 15, the Huskies will host their final conference dual of the year agaisnt the Mavericks of Minnesota State Mankato. The Mavericks are currently ranked number four in the nation, with seven of their ten starters are nationally ranked. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m., in the Halenbeck Hall gymnasium.  On Friday, February 16, the Huskies will host the Marauders of the University of Mary at 7:00 p.m., in Halenbeck Hall gymnasium. The Marauders have posted a 0-4 record, 0-4 NSIC, thus far this season.

WATCH HUSKY WRESTLING LIVE ON THE WEB
In a historic first, the upcoming St. Cloud State- Minnesota State Mankato dual match on Feb. 15 (7 p.m.) that will take place at SCSU's Halenbeck Hall will be available on a pay-per-view basis for fans to watch on the Internet.  Thanks to a partnership between SCSU and B2 Networks this match will streamed live on the web.  Fans can access the action by going to the Husky Home Page at www.stcloudstate.edu/athletics for all the details.

HUSKIES SUFFER TOUGH LOSS AT ST. JOHN’S
The St. Cloud State wrestling team dropped a tough 25-13 decision at St. John’s University on Friday, Feb. 9 in Collegeville. The loss drops SCSU’s dual match record to 3-6 on the season.   In action against SJU, the Huskies’ gained a solid 13-7 win by Sonny Silva at 133-pounds against Tim Thompson. SCSU also saw Grant Johnson roll to a 3-1 win over SJU Zach Anderson at 149-pounds.  The SCSU middle weights continued to show well with a 15-3 win at 157-pounds by Adam Minnette over SJU’s Grant Lydon. The final SCSU win of the day went to Nick Wilkes at 184-pounds. He gained a solid 9-3 decision over SJU’s Andrew Staberg

HEAD COACH STEVE COSTANZO
Steve Costanzo begins his first season as the Husky head wrestling coach during the 2006-07 season.  He becomes the 13th coach in the history of the St. Cloud State University wrestling program, which dates back to 1949-50. Costanzo is in his eighth season overall as a head coach. He has spent the last seven years at Dana College in Blair, NE where he amassed an overall record of 61-30-2 while coaching 74 NAIA National Qualifiers, 31 NAIA All-Americans and two National Champions.  Costanzo led Dana College to the NAIA National Championship in 2006 (with a tourney record 193 points) and a NWCA National Duals Championship in 2006.
