Merritt gives verbal commitment
to wrestle for the Huskies

Canby wrestler Tad Merritt of has given a verbal commitment to attend
and wrestle for Saint Cloud State University in 2007-2008.
Merritt won his second Minnesota high school state title this year
after posting a 46-1 season record, including 37 falls. He has a 176-31
career record -- 116 wins by fall, and was 94-2 his final two seasons.
Merritt is projected to wrestle at 157 pounds.
