SCSU Ranked Among Best Recruiting Classes for 2007

InterMat, a national website that focuses on the sport of wrestling, has released its top college recruiting classes for 2007. St. Cloud State University
was recognized by the Intermat as having one of the top NCAA Division
II recruiting classes for 2007. The Huskies were ranked among the top
DII programs along with Ashland, Findlay, Newberry, Pitt-Johnstown,
Upper Iowa and West Liberty.
The top Division I recruit class was Ohio State, followed by Missouri,
Penn State, Virginia Tech and Minnesota. At the Division III level, the
top recruit classes were North Central College, Olivet, U.S. Merchant
Marine Academy and UW-Oshkosh. NAIA programs listed by the InterMat
included Campbellsville, King College (Tenn.), Lindenwood, Missouri
Valley and Oklahoma City. The top NJCAA recruit classes included Neosho
CC, North Iowa Area CC, Northwest (Wyo.) College and St. Louis-Meramec
CC.
SCSU will open its 2007-08 season on Nov. 10, with the Husky Red/Black
Classic at 6 p.m. SCSU will then travel to the Cobber Open on Nov. 18,
in Moorhead, Minn. Fans will want to mark Dec. 8, as SCSU will host the
annual Husky Open in Halenbeck Hall beginning at 9 a.m.
