SDSU inks deal with Brute-adidas

The South Dakota State University wrestling program has reached an agreement with Brute-adidas that will outfit the Jackrabbits on the mats starting with the 2008-09 season.

"South Dakota State is the only Division I wrestling program in the state," said Brute-adidas wrestling chief operating officer Tom Sculley. "Getting an opportunity to not only provide the school with the best in wrestling shoes, equipment and gear, but getting exposure for our products tot he fans in South Dakota at the highest level is exciting."

The Brute-adidas deal is the latest in a string of equipment and apparel deals SDSU athletics has reached in recent years.

"Being a Division program, it's just part of the process and we're excited about being in partnership with Brute-adidas," Jackrabbit head coach Jason Liles said. "I think it's good for our program."

SDSU has also negotiated an agreement with Nike USA to serve as the official apparel and footwear provider for Jackrabbit football, men's basketball and women's basketball. In addition, the SDSU baseball team has a continuing agreement with Wilson Sporting Goods for equipment and supplies.
