All-America Mack Reiter to Serve as Guest Clinician

St. Cloud, Minn. - St. Cloud State University
will host the 2008 Husky Fall Youth Wrestling Clinic on Saturday, Oct.
25, in the Halenbeck Hall Fieldhouse. This event will feature guest
clinician Mack Reiter, a three-time NCAA Division I All-America award
winner at the University of Minnesota.
The clinic is open to all youth athletes in grades 1-12, and the event
will begin on Oct. 25, with check-in at 8 a.m. The clinic will finish
at 2:15 p.m., and it will include two wrestling training sessions,
lunch and a motivational talk presented by Reiter and SCSU head
wrestling coach Steve Costanzo.
The Husky Fall Clinic is designed to help youth wrestlers improve in
all areas of the sport, and it will also feature training advice and
help from the SCSU coaching staff and Husky wrestlers.
The cost of the clinic is $45 per person (or a team rate of $40, if
10-or-more members of a team sign-up for the clinc). The entry fee also
includes a clinic t-shirt.
A native of Gilbertville, Iowa, Reiter was a four-time Iowa high school
state champion during his prep wrestling career. At Minnesota, Reiter
was a four-year standout at 133-pounds. In 2005, Reiter was named the
Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Year and won the Big Ten title at
133-pounds.
He went on to place second in the Big Ten as a sophomore, and was a
third place finisher at 133-pounds in 2007 and placed fourth in the Big
Ten this winter. At the NCAA tournament, Reiter gained All-America
honors three-times in action at 133-pounds during his college career at
Minnesota. He also helped lead the Gophers to the NCAA Division I
championship in 2007, and Big Ten titles in 2007 and 2006.

The St. Cloud State University wrestling team, under the leadership of
second-year coach Costanzo, posted an impressive 13-2 dual match record
during the 2007-08. The Huskies placed 12th at the 2008 NCAA Division
II championships, and three SCSU wrestlers brought home All-America
honors in 2008.
