Cobbers participate in the fourth annual team trap-shooting contest
October 2, 2008
The Concordia College wrestling team
spent last Sunday at Coach Clay Nagel’s Ranch in Frazee MN where the
Cobbers participated in the fourth annual team trap-shooting contest
and team building activities.
"We feel this is a nice way for the team to come together and enjoy
some fellowship," said Coach Nagel. "It was also a great time for the
freshman to interact and get to know the upperclassman off the mat."
This year the top shooting honors went to Andrew Peterson from Albert
Lea MN with a perfect score in all three rounds of shooting. He was
awarded a 16-ounce T-bone steak in honor of his accomplishments. The
team also had a barbeque that evening which featured the grilling of
the coveted T-bone steak.
At this year's Homecoming, the Cobber’s will be hosting an All-Class
Wrestling Reunion on October 11th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the
Birkeland Lounge. At this event they will introduce their 2008-09
recruiting class and returning team members.
The Cobbers open their season on November 14th against Itasca Community College at Memorial Auditorium in Moorhead at 7:00 pm.
