Zilverberg commits to the University of Minnesota

Wayzata wrestler Danny Zilverberg has committed to wrestle for the University of Minnesota following his upcoming senior season. He will be joining his older brother David who is currently a redshirt freshman with the Golden Gophers.

Danny Zilverberg is a two-time state placewinner. Zilverberg placed third at State in Class AAA at 125 pounds as a junior and fourth at 112 pounds as a sophomore.

Nationally, Danny was a USA Wrestling Cadet Folkstyle National Champion in 2006.

He is the son of Pat and Linda Zilverberg and is coached by Ross Johnson. Father Pat and uncles Larry and Dan all wrestled for the Golden Gophers.
