St. Cloud State Youth Wrestling Clinic a Success on Oct. 25

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The 3rd Annual Husky Fall Wrestling Clinic was a big hit this past weekend on the campus of St. Cloud State University. Over 80 participants and coaches attended the one day event on Saturday, October 25 in the Halenbeck Hall Fieldhouse. Two technique sessions and a motivational session were taught for the ages of 1-12 grades in the sport of wrestling.

“This was a great opportunity for kids of all ages,” said SCSU Assistant Coach Matt Lowers. “We had a great group of kids in attendance and we appreciate their support.”

The featured clinician at the event was former Minnesota standout Mack Reiter.



The Huskies next wrestling clinics will be in June 2009 as they will offer several clinic options to choose from. Details will soon be posted and offered to the public. For more information on clinics and SCSU wrestling, please call 320-308-2996.

St. Cloud State wrestling is gearing up for its annual Black/Red Intrasquad Classic on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m.  in Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies are currently ranked #12 in the latest pre-season NCAA Div. II poll.
