Peacocks pin Dragons, 27-13, in NSIC Sunday matinee

Upper Iowa parlayed a pair of major decisions and technical falls into a 27-13 NSIC dual meet victory at MSU Moorhead
on Sunday afternoon. Trevor Franklin, 133, and J.R. Baker, 141, ignited
a quick 11-0 getaway by the Peacocks with major decisions while Travis
Eggers, 157, and Tony Gehling, 184, supplied tech falls. Tyler Tubbs
recorded a major decision at 165, Matt Nelson won 8-7 at 197 and
heavyweight Tim Johnson closed with a pin for the Dragons. MSUM, 7-12
overall and 3-4 in the NSIC, will enter the NCAA II Regionals March 1
at Marshall.
