Barrie, Albrecht Eliminated from NCAA Champsionships

HOUSTON, Texas - Southwest Minnesota State's two national qualifiers were eliminated from the NCAA Wrestling Championships Friday night in Houston, Texas.
Michal Barrie and David Albrecht were both in the first round of the consolation bracket and both lost their bouts.
Barrie was the victim of an 11-0 major decision against
Nebraska-Kearney's Joseph Morrison at 133 pounds. The senior
finishes his season with a 19-21 record.
Albrecht dropped a 5-1 decision to UNK's Ryan Etherton at 149 pounds to
end his season. The redshirt freshman posted a 7-6 record this
season.
Earlier in the day in the quarterfinal round, Barrie lost a 14-1 major
decision to Central Missouri's Grant Baker at 133 pounds, while
Albrecht fell to Kevin McElehaney of Gannon 10-3.
SMSU finished the 2008-09 campaign with a 3-7 mark and 2-5 record in the NSIC.
