Concordia College head wrestling Coach Clay Nagel has announced his team’s 2008-09 postseason awards.
2008-2009 Cobber Wrestling Awards
Outstanding Wrestler: Phil Moenkedick Perham MN: Season record 35-1 and recorded 13 pins. Two-time Great Lakes Region Champion.
Outstanding Freshman: Daron Hohbein Mandan ND: Season record 29-9 and recorded 10 pins. Placed fourth in the Great Lakes Region
Hardest Workers:
Justin Berns Perham MN: Season record 37-13, placed 2nd at the Great Lakes Region.
Ben Anderson Frazee MN: Season record 35-10, Placed fourth in the Great Lakes Region
Most Improved: Ross Dankers Cambridge MN: Season Record-23-19 and placed sixth in the Great Lakes Region
Most Improved Freshman: Mike Holman Bloomington MN: Season Record-22-17 and placed Fifth in the Great Lakes Region
Cobber Award: Nick Nadeau Aitkin MN

Concordia finished the 2008-09 season with a 10-1 dual record, Placed
fifth at the Cliff Keen National Duals, and finished second out of
sixteen teams in the Great Lakes Region. The Cobbers also placed 18th
nationally and had a national finalist in Phil Moenkedick at 184#.
The Cobbers top ten wrestlers had an overall GPA of 3.2
Phil Moenkedick was also named as an Academic All-American with a 3.55 over all GPA
