
Three Mustang Wrestlers Named to NCAA II All-Academic Team

MARSHALL, Minn. - The National Wrestling Coaches Association has announced that three Southwest Minnesota State
wrestlers have been named to the NCAA II All-Academic Wrestling Team
for their performance in the classroom and on the mat during the
2008-09 season. Jordan Rozeboom was named second team, while
Tyler Reed and C.D. Johnson were named honorable mention.
Requirements for the team included at least a 3.0 GPA,
second-year status in school, membership on the varsity team and a
demonstrated degree of skill.
Rozeboom, a redshirt freshman from Mason, Mich., holds a 3.71 GPA as a
chemistry education major at SMSU. He finished the 2008-09 season
with a 12-6 record at 125 pounds.
A native of Ottumwa, Iowa, Reed has a 3.58 GPA and is a
pre-chiropractic and exercise science major. The junior went 3-8
at 197 pounds this past season.
Johnson, a elementary education major from LeRoy, Minn., boasts a 3.34
GPA as an elementary education major at SMSU. The junor was 8-7
at 184 pounds.
SMSU finished the 2008-09 season 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the NSIC.
