Winona State comes away with 3rd place at Dayton Flyer Dual Invitational

The Winona State Wrestling Club had a very successful day on Saturday,
November 14, in Dayton Ohio taking 3rd place in the Flyer Invite going
3-2 on the day.
The day started out rough with a loss to the host school Dayton Flyers
36-21 and the loss of Ross Fahey at 184 lbs with a severely dislocated
shoulder.
WSU bounced back the next two rounds with wins over Toledo and Southern
Virginia 36-17 and 42-11 respectively. The Warriors then took on the
undefeated University of Southern Indiana and fought hard but came up
just short losing 31-24.
The day finished up with a win over Virginia Military Institute 36-24.
Going undefeated on the day for Winona State was Chad Stenson (Chisago
Lakes HS, MN) 5-0 at 157, Derek Olson (La Crosse Logan HS, WI) 4-0 at
184 and Cam Miller (Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS, MN) 5-0 at 285.
