Warriors Placed Fifth In Nationals - Place Two All-Americans

The Warriors finished fifth in the non-scholarship division with 30.5
points. Harper (Ill.) won the non-scholarship division and the overall
national title with 137. Ridgewater had five wrestlers who scored
team points.
Travis Peralta took sixth place and Chase Temple eighth for the
Ridgewater wrestling team at the NJCAA national tournament Saturday.
Peralta, at 174 pounds, went 1-1 in the championship bracket, then won
his next four matches in the consolation bracket. Travis lost two one
point matches to John Voght of Merimac during the tournament. He lost
in the fifth-place match.
Temple, at 157 pounds, lost his first match of the tournament, then ran
off three straight wins, including two by fall. He forfeited his
seventh-place match due to shoulder injury.
Finishing in the top eight of their respective weight classes earned each wrestler All-American honors.
