
Adams into semifinals at NCWA National Tournament at 165

In a battle between two Minnesota HS alums, US Air Force Prep wrestler
Carter Adams (Coon Rapids, MN) came away with a 2-1 victory over Ryan
Madson (Hutchinson, MN) in the quarterfinals and now will take on
Dustin Tancredi from West Chester University.
The other US Air Force Prep wrestler from Minnesota Jarret Hoeppner
(Apple Valley, MN) battled two time defending national champ Peter Rose
from Southern Virginia. After Hoeppner scored the first takedown, Rose
turned up the heat and won 8-6. In Hoeppner's wrestleback match he
dominated Grand Valley wrestler Travis Eisen and pinned him at the 2:16
mark.

Two Minnesota MIT wrestlers still alive in the consolations
Luke Schiefelbein (Kimball, MN) suffered a first round loss but has
battled back and has put himself into the All-American round with four
consecutive wins. Ryan Madson, who suffered a loss to Carter Adams in
the semi finals, won his wrestleback match and also is into the
American round.
Winona State has rough morning round but still stands in 25th overall
Chad Stenson (Chisago Lakes, MN) and Kristopher Hoffman
(Plainview-Elgin-Millville, MN) had rough morning matches, both taking
losses in the morning session. Eric Weigel (Boscobell, WI) won his
morning match but suffered a defeat in the first consolation round
Friday night. Cam Miller (Plainview-Elgin-Millville, MN) lost his semi
final match but won his wrestleback match and will become Winona
State's second All-American. He will be wrestling back for an
opportunity to place as high as third when wrestling begins on Friday
Morning.
