Concordia College 2010-11 Wrestling Schedule

Here are some highlights of this year’s schedule:

On Friday, January 14th the Cobbers will be competing against Calumet College prior to the Gopher's match against Indiana at the Sports Pavilion. Calumet College is coached by former Gopher standout Leroy Vega.

Concordia has again been invited to participate in the NWCA Division III National Duals on January 8th and 9th, 2011. This invite-only tournament features the top NAIA, NCAA Division III, II and I  wrestling programs. The University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa will host it.

The Cobbers will be hosting the MIAC Quad Duals in Perham, MN  on January 28th. Augsburg, Concordia, St John’s and St. Olaf will be participating.

The Cobbers finished sixth at the National Duals last year and placed ninth at the NCAA National Championships with three All-Americans and one national champion. Justin Berns placed 7th, Ross Dankers placed 8th, and Phil Moenkedick placed 1st.

The Cobbers are very excited about the 2010-2011 season. They return nine of ten starters and bringing in fifteen new freshman.
