2nd round: Leroy Vega tech fall A.J. Grant, Michigan 20-4, 7:00

1st period: Vega td and 2 near fall, Grant esc, Grant warned for stalling, Vega scored a double leg td and led 6-1 after the first period. 2nd period: Vega chose down and got a quick esc, Vega scored on another double leg td and put Grant on his back for 3 near fall, Vega tilted Grant for 2 near fall, Vega let Grant go for an esc and led 14-2 after 2 periods. 3rd period: Grant chose down, Vega let Grant go for an esc, another double leg td for Vega, Grant esc, stalling point for Vega, Vega td as time ran out for tech fall.

1st period: Vega scored a takedown 1:30 into the match and Ragan escaped, Vega scored another td on an inside trip, Ragan esc, Vega led 4-4. 2nd period: Ragan chose down and escaped, Ragan attempted a td and Vega caught him for a td, Vega 6-4. 3rd period: Vega chose down and escaped, Ragan td, Vega esc.

Semifinals: Jeremy Hunter, Penn State (2nd seed) dec. Leroy Vega 2-1 tiebreaker

1st period: Vega warned for stalling, scoreless. 2nd period: Hunt chose down, escaped in 2 seconds, Hunter 1-0. 3rd period: Vega chose down and escaped in 2 seconds, score 1-1. Sudden death: Hunter got in deep on a single but a stalemate was called, there was a scramble and Hunter nearly scored a takedown but Vega kept alive. Tiebreaker: Hunter won coin toss and chose down, Vega was called for locking hands to end the match. (The clasp call went before the protest committee because both wrestlers appeared to be on their feet when the call occurred, but the protest was denied.)

Consolation semifinals: Jody Strittmatter, Iowa (1st seed) dec. Leroy Vega 6-2

1st period: Vega scored first with a td off a Strittmatter shot, Strittmatter escaped with 1 second left in the period, score 2-1. 2nd period: Strittmatter chose down, Strittmatter esc, Strittmatter got a td and put the legs in, score 4-2. 3rd period: Vega chose neutral, Strittmatter scored a td off a Vega shot.

5th place match: Leroy Vega dec. Jeff Ragan, Oklahoma State 13-7

1st period: Schmiesing scored first with a td and built 1:32 riding time. 2nd period: Lawrence chose neutral, wrestlers got in a scramble and Lawrence came out on top for a td, score 2-2. 3rd period: Schmiesing chose down and escaped, Schmiesing td and 2 near fall, Lawrence reversed, Lawrence let Schmiesing up for an esc but time ran out for Lawrence.

First round: Luke Becker tech fall Anthony Ralph, Kent 20-2, 7:00

1st period: Williams td, Becker esc, Becker shot for a td and Williams spun around for a td and turned Becker for 2 near fall. 2nd period: Becker chose down and escaped. Williams led 6-2. 3rd period: Williams chose down and escaped, Williams scored a final td for a 10-2 major decision.

Consolation 4th round: Luke Becker dec. Griff Powell, Illinois 4-2 sd

1st period: scoreless. 2nd period: Becker chose down, Powell accumulated 1:18 riding time before Becker escaped. 1-0. 3rd period: Powell chose down and escaped, Becker was awarded a point for Powell fleeing the mat. score 2-2. Sudden death: Becker td.

Consolation quarterfinals: Luke Becker dec. Mike Ziska, Pittsburgh 4-2

Becker score a reversal in the second period and a td in the third to win 4-2.

Consolation semifinals: Corey Wallman, Wisconsin (11th seed) dec. Luke Becker 3-1 tiebreaker

After a 1-1 regulation and sudden death periods, Wallman won the coin flip and chose down, Wallman reversed Becker.

5th place match: Bryan Snyder, Nebraska (3rd seed) dec. Luke Becker 6-2

1st period: Snyder td and put Becker in a cradle for 2 near fall, becker esc, Snyder 4-1 with 1:12 riding time. 2nd period: Becker chose down and escaped, score 4-2. 3rd period:Snyder chose down and escaped, With 1:03 riding time Snyder won 6-2.

First round: Brad Pike dec. Nick Nemeth, Kent 9-4

1st period: Pike got a td 10 seconds into the match and tried to turn Nemeth with a half nelson for about 30 seconds but wasn't able to turn him, Nemeth esc and got a td when Pike slipped on a td attempt, Pike esc with 2 seconds left in the period. 2nd period: Pike chose down, Nemeth esc, Pike td, Pike led 6-3 after 2 periods. 3rd period: Nemeth chose down, Pike esc, Pike td. 1:46 riding time for Pike.

2nd round: Brad Pike dec. Robbie Waller, Oklahoma (8th seed) 2-1 tiebraker OT

1st period: scoreless. 2nd period: Waller chose down and escaped. 3rd period: Pike chose down and escaped, Score was tied 1-1 after regulation. Sudden death: scoreless. Tiebreaker: Pike won coin flip and chose down, Pike escaped 2 seconds into tiebreaker period. (Both Becker and Pike were going on at the same time and were very exciting matches for the crowd.)

Quarterfinals: Joe Heskett, Iowa State (1st seed) pinned Brad Pike 5:50

1st period: scoreless. 2nd period: Heskett chose down, Pike rode Heskett for a while then got in a scramble, Heskett almost reversed but Pike held on to build 1:22 riding time, Heskett reversed and Pike escaped, Heskett 2-1. 3rd period: Pike chose down, Heskett caught Pike in a cradle and was pinned.

Consolation 4th round: Brad Pike dec. Joel Dramis, North Carolina State 2-1

Pike scored a third period escape to win 2-1.

Consolation quarterfinals: Kirk White, Boise State dec. Brad Pike 5-4

White got takedowns in the first and second periods to beat Pike 5-4.

7th place match: Brad Pike dec. Joey Killar, Harvard (6th seed) 9-3

1st period: Pike scored a takedown on a duck under, Killar escaped. 2nd period: Pike chose down and was ridden until 10 seconds left in the period when he reversed Killar to his back and scored 2 near fall. 3rd period: Killar chose down and escaped, Pike td.

Pigtail round: Mark Dufresne, Lehigh dec. Delaney Berger 10-5

Dufresne took Berger down three times in the first period, Berger got an escape each time. In the second period Berger chose down and got an escape. In the third period Dufresne chose down and got an escape, Dufresne got a takedown. Berger got an escape.

Consolation pigtail round: Delaney Berger dec. John Kopinsky, Missouri 3-1 OT

1st period: scoreless. 2nd period: Berger chose down and escaped, Berger was warned for stalling. 3rd period: Kopinsky chose down and got an escape, scramble in which Berger almost scored a td but a stalemate was called. Sudden death: Berger scored a td.

First round: Owen Elzen dec. Babek Nejadmoghaddam, Cal State Fullerton 4-0

1st period: Scoreless. 2nd period: Elzen chose down, Nejadmoghaddam let Elzen go for an escape, Elzen scored a td near the end of the period. Nejadmoghaddam took injury time for his knee between periods. 3rd period: Elzen rode Nejadmoghaddam the entire third period. Riding time for Elzen.

2nd round: Nick Preston, Ohio State (7th seed) dec. Owen Elzen 5-4

1st period: Preston single leg td, Elzen esc, Preston another td, Elzen esc, Preston led 4-2 after 1st period. 2nd period: Elzen chose down and escaped. 3rd period: Elzen rode Preston long enough to eliminate Preston's riding time, Preston esc, Elzen was awarded a stalling point to pull within 1 point but Preston was able to fend off Elzen's td attempts.

Consolation 2nd round: Owen Elzen maj. dec Josh Lambrecht, Chattanooga 10-2

1st period: Elzen scored a td and Lambrecht reversed near the end of the period, Elzen 1:47 riding time, score 2-2 after one period. 2nd period: Elzen chose down and Lambrecht put the leg in, Elzen shrugged Lambrecht off and got a reversal, Elzen cradled Lambrecht and was very close to getting a pin, (if the ref was in a better position he might have got the call), Elzen 3:11 riding time, score 7-2. 3rd period: Lambrecht chose top and put the leg in again and again Elzen shrugged him off for a reversal, Elzen rode the rest of the match, 4:25 riding time.

Consolation 3rd round: Owen Elzen tech fall Dan Stine, Pittsburgh 15-0 5:22

first period: Elzen td in 2 seconds, Elzen tilted Stine for 2 near fall, Elzen cradled Stine for 3 near fall and then tilted for another 2 near fall, Elzen led 9-0 with 2:55 riding time. 2nd period: Stine chose neutral, Elzen scored a double leg td and then tilted Stine for another 3 near fall, Elzen led 14-0 with 4:20 riding time. 3rd period: Elzen chose down and escaped to get the tech fall 15-0.

First round: Brock Lesnar dec. Bart Johnson, Boise State 4-2

1st period: Lesnar picked up Johnson and took him down, Johnson esc. 2nd period: Lesnar chose down, Lesnar escaped 10 second into the period, Lesnar was warned for stalling despite shooting for a takedown. 3rd period: Johnson was down, Lesnar rode Johnson the entire 3rd period. Riding time Lesnar.

2nd round: Brock Lesnar pinned Shawn Laughlin, Lehigh 2:19

1st period: Lesnar td, Lesnar powered Laughlin over for a pin in 2:19.

Quarterfinals: Brock Lesnar pinned Tim Courtad, Ohio U 4:04

Cortad got a td when Lesnar slipped, Lesnar esc, Lesnar came back with a double leg td, score 3-2. 2nd period: Lesnar chose down and escaped, Lesnar locked up and threw Courtad to his back and got the fall.

Semifinals: Brock Lesnar pinned Bandele Adeniyi-Bada, Penn 6:41

Lesnar picked up Adeniyi-Bada twice and brought him to his back both times before pinning him in the second period. Lesnar led 11-0 at the time of the fall.

Finals: Brock Lesnar Wes Hand, Iowa (3rd seed)

1st period: scoreless 2nd period: Lesnar chose down and escaped after Hand rode him for 50 seconds, score 1-0. 3rd period: Hand chose up (nobody's sure why), Lesnar escaped, Hand was awarded 2 stalling points, score 2-2. Sudden death: scoreless, both were close to getting tds a couple of times. Tiebreaker: Lesnar won the coin flip, Hand rode for 16 seconds and the wrestlers went out of bounds, Lesnar escaped with 10 seconds left.

First round: Pat McNamara dec. Shawn Kegel, Buffalo 7-3

2nd round: Pat McNamara dec. Scott Moore, Penn State 5-2

1st period: scoreless. 2nd period: Moore chose neutral, McNamara scored a td and put the leg in for a cross body ride and built a 1:46 riding time advantage by the end of the second period. 3rd period: McNamara chose down and scored a reversal, McNamara got high on top and Moore reversed but time ran out.

Quarterfinals: Pat McNamara dec. Charles Walker, Oklahoma State 5-4
