TheWrestlingMall.com to offer Live Webcasts during 2005-06 season
Oct. 18, 2005
Tentative schedule includes many top college and high school events across country
MINNEAPOLIS TheWrestlingMall.com (TWM) will take it’s coverage of college and high school wrestling to a new level this season.
President and CEO Jesse Krebs is pleased to announce plans to provide live Webcasting of select college and high school wrestling events during the 2005-06 wrestling season.
“We continually strive to provide new ways to promote the sport of wrestling through our Web site,” said Krebs. “By providing wrestling fans across the country the opportunity to watch college and high school wrestling matches right from their own computer, we feel we are providing another avenue for wrestling fans to enjoy the sport.”
The Webcasts will be available on a pay-per-view basis, with costs varying from $8-$15 per event. All you have to do is sign-up on The Wrestling Mall prior to the match, follow the simple steps, and watch. Users will need Quicktime Player and a high speed Internet connection in order to view the broadcasts
The Webcast will also include a broadcast team to provide commentary, information and analysis of the event. Many great events are tentatively scheduled to be broadcast for the 2005-06 season (tentative schedule below). Among the college events planned are the finals of the Journeymen Northeast Collegiate Duals, select Minnesota Gophers home duals, Michigan at Cornell, and Augsburg at Wartburg. The high school events TWM tentatively has scheduled include the Asics Ironman Finals, the Minnesota Christmas Tournament finals, and The Clash finals. TWM also plans to provide a trial run on Nov. 12 by broadcasting at no charge the finals of the 2005 Bison Open in Fargo, North Dakota.
“We are excited about this,” said Krebs. “It’s new for us, and we are working hard to provide the best Webcast possible. We will strive to provide a quality, professionally done service and event.”
There are sponsorship opportunities available with the Webcasts. Any businesses or individuals interested in finding out more about sponsorship opportunities should contact Krebs at 612-333-9950, or via email at webmaster@TheWrestlingMall.com.
