Wife of long-time Coon Rapids coach passes
December 15, 2005
Sally Board, the wife of long-time Coon Rapids coach Bob Board passed away on December 10, 2005 after a long battle with cancer.

Board, Sally S. age 68, of Coon Rapids. With her family at her side, Sally passed away on Dec. 10, 2005 after a hard fought five year battle with cancer. Born in Marion, Ohio on Nov. 25, 1937 to L.D. and Thelma (Ehrick) Scarborough. She is preceded in death by her mother and father. Survived by loving husband, Robert; daughter, Robin (Mike) Langlais; sons, Chris Board and Jeff (Darcy) Board; grandchildren, Carissa, Gibson, Mary-Anna, Abigail, Ryan, Ashley, Cody, Aaron and Tyler; brother, Steve (Mary) Scarborough; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her love of life and love of the Lord are what made her so special. She was the greatest fan of high school and college wrestling and a great wrestling mom. Sally was an election judge for over 30 years, a volunteer at Mercy Hospital and for Meals on Wheels, a member of Phiolectian and an active member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka for over 35 years. Funeral services Friday 11:00 AM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 700 Western St., Anoka. Visitation 5-8 PM Thursday at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, W. Main St. & Branch Ave., Anoka.
