Remembering the Life of Kenneth H. Droegemueller
Kenneth Howard Droegemueller was born August 28, 1942 in Minneapolis,
Minnesota to the late Willis and Doris Droegemueller of Windom. Ken was
a graduate of Windom high school, a two-time All American from Mankato
State University, and a teacher for 34 years in Northfield, Worthington
and Osseo. Ken’s two-year battle with cancer ended on December 23,
2007; he was 65 years of age.
Ken was an honest, loyal, hard working man with a servant’s attitude.
To many he is seen as a modern day hero and legend. Ken’s family and
friends would like to thank him. Thank him for touching and impacting
so many lives, both in the classroom and on the wrestling mat. Thank
him for setting such a great example and for bringing out the best in
those that surrounded him. Thank him for pushing us beyond where we
thought we could go, and then a bit further. Ken is a great example of
a mentor, father, grandfather, teacher, coach and friend. Ken, thank
you for giving so much for so little and for investing so much in the
lives of those around you.
Ken is survived by his children Dave (Angie), Darren (Kim) and Deanne
(Steve Moore); his grandchildren Weston, Shelby, Dalton and Dylan; his
brothers Wally (Sue) and Roger and his sister Dawn (Larry Vaske); and
