Wrestling Program Fundraising Opportunity

April 23, 2009

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The University of Minnesota is set to host the 2009 Trident Challenge National Fitness Championships, Saturday, May 16 with registration beginning at 9 am. The Trident Challenge will pit athletes versus athlete and team against team from various high schools. Teams will consist of 10-15 athletes with each individual competing in the disciplines of swimming, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and running based upon the pre-determined standards and scoring.

The Trident Challenge Fitness Championships offers a great opportunity for wrestlers to showcase their athleticism and show why they are some of the most highly trained athletes competing in high school sports.

Individual National Champions will be crowned at each grade level with the top 6 finishers in each category will earn All-American honors. This is a great opportunity to fundraise for your program with $4500 in prize money will be awarded to the winning school/club team. (School, Athletic Department, Booster Club, etc.)

In addition, all participants are invited to attend a FREE wrestling clinic featuring a high profile staff of All-Americans. As a special guest, University of Minnesota Head Wrestling Coach, J Robinson, will host a Goal Setting seminar.
