MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The University of Minnesota is set to host the 2009
Trident Challenge National Fitness Championships, Saturday, May 16 with
registration beginning at 9 am. The Trident Challenge will pit athletes
versus athlete and team against team from various high schools. Teams
will consist of 10-15 athletes with each individual competing in the
disciplines of swimming, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and running based
upon the pre-determined standards and scoring.
The Trident Challenge Fitness Championships offers a great opportunity
for wrestlers to showcase their athleticism and show why they are some
of the most highly trained athletes competing in high school sports.
Individual National Champions will be crowned at each grade level with
the top 6 finishers in each category will earn All-American honors.
This is a great opportunity to fundraise for your program with $4500 in
prize money will be awarded to the winning school/club team. (School,
Athletic Department, Booster Club, etc.)
In addition, all participants are invited to attend a FREE wrestling
clinic featuring a high profile staff of All-Americans. As a special
guest, University of Minnesota Head Wrestling Coach, J Robinson, will
host a Goal Setting seminar.
