September 9, 2006

The NHSCA is pleased to announce that the 2007 High School Senior Nationals and the Underclassmen National Championships will be held in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Due to overwhelming feedback, we have chosen this beautiful, family-friendly location and we have condensed the tournament schedule. Competition will be held at the brand-new, stunning VA Beach Convention Center. This venue is just blocks from the beach, and has plenty of free event parking.

Mark your calendar now for the open underclassmen tournament. Registration, weigh-ins and the start of competition will begin Wednesday, March 28, 2007and will end on Friday, March 30th. This year Freshmen will be allowed to compete along with the Sophomores and Juniors!

The elite and prestigious Senior Nationals will kick off with registration Thursday, March 29th. Wrestling will begin Friday, March 30th and will conclude Sunday, April 1st. State champions and runners-up from all across the country will compete for All-American honors.

Just blocks from the venue is the gorgeous, oceanfront Cavalier Hotel which will be the Headquarters Hotel for this event. When you reference the NHSCA, you will get an unbelievable $75 room rate! The Cavalier boasts beautiful accommodations, an on-site restaurant/bar, and entertainment facilities ~ including a work-out center, game room, indoor pool and children's playground.  Free parking and access to a secluded north-end beach make this location very desirable. Most event activities, including the coach's socials and banquet, will be held at the Cavalier, so make your reservation early! www.cavalierhotel.com
