Weight class reduction proposal opposition memorandum

The memorandum posted below, along with supporting data, was sent to
the Minnesota State High School League Board of Directors and high
school coaches this week. The memo was presented on behalf of a group
of interested wrestling coaches and parents in opposition to the
proposal which would (1) reduce the number of weight classes from 14 to
12 and (2) make all of the reductions in the lower weight classes,
limiting the opportunities for lighter weight wrestlers.
