State Tournament team champions meet the Governor

Members of the three 2009 Minnesota State Tournament team champions -- Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, Simley, and Apple Valley had an audience with Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty today.

The Governor spent a half-hour with the teams sharing some history of the State, talking about sports, and giving some advice about the importance of having a comittment to something you are passionate about. Pawlenty also posed for photos with each team.

Apple Valley presented the Governor with the "Governor's Cup," -- travelling trophy of The Clash National High School Duals Tournament, which goes to the Governor of the state of the winning team.
