The Falcons will be looking for big things again this season after an
outstanding season, after going 31-2 and earning the Class AA runner up
trophy, West Central Conference championships. They will return seven
state qualifiers including four state place winners, one section place
winner and nine others with a great deal of experience. Look for the
Falcons to defend those conference and section titles and to be hungry
for the state title. Key leaders will be Justin Bowland, Jordan Linn,
Mitch Dunlap, Brandon Seppelt, Tyler Lewandowski, Mark Gehling and
Taylor Lewandowski.

The Mustangs had their best season in school history with their section
7AA Championship and Sixth place finish in Class AA state. They should
be looking to improve on their 23-6 dual meet marks. Back from last
season will be four state qualifiers, including two place winners, six
section place winners and nine others with a great deal of experience.
The Mustangs graduated three seniors from last years very good team, so
look for the Mustangs to possibly be a top four team in class AA state,
again depending on the Coaches seeding process. The Mustangs will be
led by Andrew Youngblom, Seth Sanftner, Blake Menard, Codie
Lafromboise, Tyler Carlson and Derek Carlson. They have fourteen
wrestlers with eleven wins or more back from the great campaign of last
season.

conference and section honors again this season. Their key leaders
should be Marshal Ash, Ripp Baker, John Crain and Jason Rogalla.

again this season. Look for John Nething, Chase Austvold, Shawn

The Huskies got thru last year with their 6-12 mark due to injuries and
some wrestlers not coming back out. Coach Dan Anderson will be missed
by all the wrestling fans in the area. The Huskies will be led by Caleb
Watson an Illinios native, he is a new technical education teacher at
Albany high school. The Huskies should be looking to improve on last
year’s dual meet marks of 6-12. If they can fill out their upper
weights they should improve on those marks. They graduated three very
good seniors including one state qualifier, but with one state
qualifier, three section place winners and four others with a great
deal of experience back that should have a successful campaign. Their
key leaders will be Jamie Holt, Bryan Schlangen, Luke Holt and Brandon
Panken

Woehler. The Bulldogs could have their best season in recent years,
they are looking for big things from this team.

The Warriors should also be a force to be dealt with in the West
Central South Conference. Their key leaders should be: Alex Steffel,
Kyle Schulte, Dustin Caspers, Brent O’Hallaron and Cody Hatch.

including a state place winner and the move to section 6AA they should
challenge will section and conference honors. They will be led by Cody

sickness last year when they posted a 10-10 dual meet record and they
tied for second place in the Central Lakes Conference. Despite the

honors. If they can avoid injuries and stay healthy they should have a
very good season. The Otters return two state place winners, two
section place winners and three others with a great deal of of

those 8AA foes this season. Back from last year’s very good team
includes: one state place winner, five section place winners and nine
others with a great deal of experience. Despite the graduation of five
seniors, including two state qualifiers and the realignment the
Cardinals will be looking for big things from this team. They should
challenge for a conference title and will make a strong run at section
8AA honors too. Their key leaders include: Jordan Bendson, Ryan

The Knights of West Central Area had a good season with their 10-8 dual
meet marks and they should be looking to improve on those numbers. With
the graduation of just three seniors including two section place
winners they should make an improvement on those marks. They could
challenge for a top four spot in this balance section 6A dual meet
campaign. They return five section place winners including one state
champion and four others with a great deal of experience back from last
season. Their key leaders should include: Jake Long, Seth Felland,
Jordan Harstad, Jon Pikop and Cod Biehr.
