TOURNEY NOTES:
Hastings wins 4th straight Kiffmeyer Duals with a one point win over Elk
River. Hastings had the win sealed at 189 so they placed their B Squad
wrestler at hwt for which he was pinned by Elk River. Hastings, the #2
ranked team in AAA, battled hutchinson in the semis in a closely
contested dual. Hutchinson, who now has their full line up back for the
first time all year, was leading 24-23 after the 160 pound
match.Hastings sealed the victory with Zajac and Bruels to win 35-30.Elk
River, ranked #10 AAA also had a tight battle as they wrestled past Tech
31-24 in the Semis. Tech, without the services of Josh Kloss, the
National champion at 112, battled back to win 3 of the last 4 to make it
a close dual.
 
 
The Bquad Tourney had St. Cloud Tech winning the championship over
Waconia 36-26. Tech's b sqaud now has a 14-1 record.
 
The Kiffmeyer Duals are in honor of Jim Kiffmeyer, a former wrestler,
coach and teacher at Tech High School.Jim also was a referee after is
retirement from coaching
