FOLKSTYLE TAKE DOWN TOURNAMENT

Date: Saturday, July 19th, 2008

Time:   9:30 - 10:30 Registration   Wrestling should start at 11:00

Place:  Lake Ripley Beach   1 mile south of downtown Litchfield on Hwy 22

Entry:   Individuals  $10 registration   

Takedown Tourney:  2 - 2minute periods. Take downs only!  10 point tech fall.  4 mats, 4 man round robin.  You will be wrestling on mats, NOT in the sand. 

******We will have tarps hung above in the trees to shade the mats******

Concessions:  We will be grilling burgers, hotdogs and brats all day long.  Along with all kinds of frozen summer treats!!!

Family Activities:  Beautiful swimming beach, walking path, sand volleyball,  campground,  golf course,  concessions, and free watermelon feed.

****MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR SWIM TRUNKS!!!!

Age Divisions: K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12  please use grade from 2007-08 school year, seniors are welcome.  SCRATCH WEIGHTS!!!

Team: Team of 5 wrestlers, Total takedowns, + 5pts for each champions. Teams can be made of any 5 kids, they do not have to be from same town.   You do not have to be on a team to wrestle, this is an individual tourney.  Trophies for team 1st and 2nd

Awards: Summer Slam T-shirts for champions, Medals for 2nd and 3rd, frisbees for 4th. Trophy for Team 1st and 2nd
