Beginner Camp June 8-10, 2009 This commuter only camp is designed to teach basic skills and solid technique used by NDSU wrestlers. Takedowns, set-ups, positioning, finishes, escapes, reversals, and pinning combinations will be taught in progression. The technique that is taught is proven to work against all levels of competition. The campers will also participate in drills and games that will improve their balance, coordination, strength and agility. Olympic Style Training June 14-16, 2009 This camp is designed for the younger or beginner wrestler. Most spring tournaments and the National Schoolboy tournaments are Freestyle and Greco. This camp will prepare you for success in these styles. The Cadet and Junior tournaments held in Fargo each July are also Olympic style. Excellent instruction is provided by the top coaches who have excelled in these styles. Elite Technique Training June 17-21, 2009 This five day camp is for wrestlers interested in developing their skills in folk style wrestling. This is an excellent chance to learn techniques from champions. Wrestle with top wrestlers from North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Montana. This camp will cover all phases of wrestling: technique, drills, bottom wrestling, top wrestling, leg wrestling, weight training, mental preparation, diet and positioning. Advanced Competition June 21-26, 2009 This is our traditional five day camp which involves both technique sessions and dual meets. We will put all wrestlers on teams and mix teaching technique with dual matches every day. Teammates will be kept together as much as possible, and you will wrestle for the camp championship. Each wrestler will compete in at least 10 duals, which would be almost half of your normal season. This has been our most popular camp. Special discounts are available for teams that bring 8 or more wrestlers. This camp is for the serious wrestler who is preparing for championship performances. Star Option June 17-26, 2009 Designed for the wrestler who wants the extreme experience, we have a ten day option for those who want to attend both five day camps. Experience both the technique camp and the dual camp. We feel this intensive camp is only for the most dedicated wrestlers who are serious about winning championships at both the high school and collegiate levels. NDSU Wrestling Camp Staff
