Blue Earth Area Buccaneer Open NYWA "Early Bird" State Tourney Qualifier Saturday, December 20, 2008 Blue Earth Area High School Pre-registration - Deadline December 17 7th and 8th Graders and Walk-ins Welcome Weight Classes will be by AGE ONLY, NOT GRADE! Ages 5-12 are eligible to wrestle. 7th and 8th Graders will wrestle each other. This wil be determined by using the wrestlers age as of September 1, 2008. See NYWA website for more info. www.nywa-mn.com Wrestlers will be put into 4-man round-robin brackets, if more than 5 wrestlers per weight bracket, wrestlers will be divided into two brackets. If more than 8 wrestlers in each bracket, wrestlers will be moved up or down to the next weight bracket. T-Shirts for First place and Medals for 2nd thru 4th place in each bracket High School Rules and Scoring will be used, one-minute periods Concession Stand Available Admission: Adult $2, Student $1 NYWA memberships are NOT REQUIRED to wrestle in this early bird qualifier, but will be REQUIRED for the event at St. John's. Cost is $10 to wrestle. Weigh-ins: Ages 5-9 from 7:30-8.30 am, Ages 10-12 from 8:30-9:30 am. Grades 7 and 8 weigh-ins from 8:30-9:30 am. Wrestling to begin at 9:30 am. Wrestling Fee of $10 must accompany registration.
